13th Day In Ningbo, China
Date : 141106
Time : 10:30AM
Woke up to find no one at home, mom had gone out to do her nails so i was with the "Ah Yee", (maid) in the house. Felt damn sucky as my sore throat had gotten worse. Had some breakfast and then popped a few panadols and sucked on a lozenge. Bleargh! It was cold too and so i had developed a slight fever. Mom wasn't gonna be home till 2+. I went online to do some stuff and also listened to some music. The plan was to go to the kids' school in the evening as there was a Parents-Teacher meeting. The kids school is in the Beilun district, about 35 mins drive away. Mom came home with lunch at about 2. After eating lunch, popped a few more panadols and my throat was feeling better. Being sick while on holidays sucks big time. Anyhoos, chatted with my mom for a bit while waiting for the kids to come home.
Time : 4:40PM
Kids got back from school. Ate their late lunch and then played with the dog. Was waiting for my stepdad to come home at 5 30PM and then we would be leaving for the kids' school, AIAN (Access International Academy Ningbo).
Time : 6:00PM
Left for Beilun district, had to pass by a toll station into the main expressway, somewhat like the Singapore-KL Expressway. It was a pretty long journey in which me and Nat played around while Kim slept. Reached Beilun at ard 6:45PM. Parents were gonna bring us to another Singapore restaurant here, called Z BUZZ, run by a friend of theirs. However, they did not know exactly how to get there so we were lost for quite a while until my stepdad called the restaurant asking for directions haha. Anyhoos, finally made it there at about 7:00PM. A huge sign was visible from the road clearly showing Z BUZZ haha. Upon entering, i saw the waiters/waitresses dressed in SIA kinda clothes. A touch of home, ey? The food was pretty good, had a wide range of singapore delicacies like sambal kangkong and others. Here are some pics at Z BUZZzz

Time : 7 30PM
Left Z Buzz to go the the kids' school, on our way to the car from Z Buzz, we were followed by a beggar who kept asking for money. Only till we slammed the car door shut did he stop...man scary beggars and they seem to be everywhere! Never give money to a beggar in China, there are others waiting to prowl, hell, they may even be violent. Anyways, reached the school at about 7 50. Parents went to the meeting at the library, leaving us 3 kids to roam about. I was given a tour of sorts by the kids, takin pictures as we go along. The school was pretty nice overall and the facilities were top notch. Spent about 1-2 hrs? waiting for the parents to finish. During that team, me and the kids even played badminton by the pavement near a building haha. Took some badminton rackets and a shuttlecock near the exit of the main building. Been long since i've played it and it was good fun. The kids were pretty good in badminton, especially Kim. Played quite a few long-ish rallies with her haha. Goofed off with Nat during the last parts of waiting and took more pictures. Here's the pics at taken at AIAN.
