12th Day In Ningbo, China
Date : 131106
Time : Morning
Kids skipped school today citing 'they wanna spend more time with me' as their excuse, but they were actually just lazy haha...Had the usual stuff, breakfast, bath and all.
Time : 1PM
Left to eat lunch with my stepdad at a szechuan food house. Looked kinda dodgy but the food was ok, All spicy Szechuan dishes came with Szechuan Peppers, nasty! Althugh was careful in getting rid of em, did eventually bite into some of those nasty stuff haha. Some pics from the foodplace...

Following that, we dropped my stepdad off and we went to the G A M E shop yet again as the kids had some faulty game boy cartridges to exchange. Saw the display again, and this time, the displayed Spawn figurine tempted me so much that i asked for it's price, 36 sing dollars. This was one figure i've never personally seen in shops in Singapore. I caved in and bought it hahaha damn, i'm such a sucker for this. Anyways, i highly believe it's one of the best looking spawn figures i've come across. Here are some pics..

Love it, would be a lovely display back on my bookshelf. Anyhoo boos, we stopped by a nearby stationery shop to get the kids some stuff before heading out a garden/lake/park sorta thing just opposite the shops.
Time : 2:45PM
We went into this huge place, seems like a tourist/park area with oldskool dynasty-like mini buildings strewn around the park. Don't really know what theyre called though but maybe a few pics below would explain it. We eventually found out it was called Moon Lake and was indeed a tourist attraction in Ningbo. Found some statues to take some corny pics with...here goes..
Teh Tarik Satu, Ma!

Needed both my mom and Nat to bring Kim up. HoHOhO!

The forbidden statues

We walked around and came across men playing traditional Chinese musical instruments, u know those in some Ch 8 dramas where they're portraying past dynasties and men were flying through the air with songs and stuff, yeah those kinda tunes. haha a small crowd were gathered around them too. We went to the Moon Lake itself, it was not bad, a bit dirty though. Made a stop at a nearby playground where the kids played for a while. Saw a lot of local Ningbo grandmas with their small children running about with a hole in their pants, haha pretty freaky. A boat rental service was available to just ride around in the lake. We decided to take it, they had 2 types, the motor engine or the one whcih u used ur legs to paddle/be the engine. We selected the latter and off we went! It was pretty fun goin round the lake for about 25 mins. Here are some pics of us on the 'duck' boat.
Wheeeeeeeee!

It was fun but it was a pretty small lake so we just went in a circle and before we knew it, time was up haha. Proceeded to walk around for a bit more before heading back to the car to go to Tian Yi Square to get us some Starbucks!
Time : 4:00PM
Reached Starbucks and got us some grub and drinks. Had a cheesecake which wasnt that great and a Mocha Frapp, which wasn't that great either haha. Here's a pic of the huge Starbucks.

Went home after that to rest our full stomachs and await dinner with my stepdad.
Time : 5:45PM
Left the house to pick up my stepdad and proceeded for dinner at a steakhouse called Jia Jia Steak at Tian Yi Square. Nat and i played around with the camera whilst in the car muahaha!
Spasm-matic

Nat's really funny and cute man as u can see from the pics haha, anyhoos reached the steakhouse at 6 50PM. It was pretty neat and clean and man the portion they gave me was huge. 2 lumps of beef on spaghetti and egg haha, didn't take a picture of the food though but it was good. Even had leftover steak which my mom 'ta-paoed' (takeaway). Here are some snaps at the restaurant.

Time : 7 40PM
Went to Hy Mall nearby to shop for groceries etc. Bought a smaller basketball and a mini soccer ball there. Was checking out for ipod nano coz my parents wanted to buy Nat one for her upcoming birthday on 16 Dec. However, no nanos were found there. We then proceeded to the cashier to make payment. I was waiting just beyond the cashier when i saw a small boy which caught my attention. He was walking about with his privates exposed through the hole in the pants i talked about! He was probably 3-4 yrs old, maybe younger haha. His mom was right next to him and she asked him in Ningbonese+Mandarin, "U wanna pee ah", sumthing like dat and he nodded. Try guessing what happened next....SHE ASKED HIM TO JUST PEE! RIght there beyond the cashiers, at the end of a row of trolleys, HE PEE'D! And to make matters worse, the cleaner stood beside him while he pee'd on the floor. She immediately used a mop to clean it up, and the cleaner used the same mop to clean the floor next to me! I jumped out of the way before the mop could hit my jeans hahaha man that was so nasty! Pretty uncivilised behaviour man quite disgusting too. damnnn, that was my first time seeing such a thing in China, heck, anywhere haha. Pretty shocking to me...
Following on, we walked around and came across this electronics mall. It was pretty deserted by the time we went there but they were still open. Went through all the mp3/4 players and Nat picked out one she liked. It was an Mp3/video/Picture player. Made by a Chinese brand, Meizhu. it cost roughly 200+ sing dollars. She liked the display and all and my parents bought it for her birthday. We did see IPod stuff, but man it's so expensive here! Much cheaper back in Singapore where prices are much more competitive in my opinion. Anyhoos she was thrilled and we then proceeded home.
Damn cold night and i was having a sore throat too. Didn't do much about it and went to bed at around 12AM. Woopie doos!
