Gullible's Travels: 8th Day In Ningbo, China

Woke up to send the kids off to school, haha, after they left, went back to the bed to continue dreamtime.

Time : 11:00 AM

Finally fully awake, went down to eat fried rice my mom had made from some leftover food. Kimberly had a school trip to Hangzhou today, exploring the attractions there. She would only come home at 6PM and we were to pick her up at Carrefour. No plans till then so just bummed. Converted a tape into the computer using Windows Movie Maker and then converted the wmv file into .mp4 file using Videora, however, while converting to the .mp4 file, the audio and video went out of sync. Nonetheless, tried to burn it as a VCD and it worked so am planning to rectify the audio/video synching and do more tapes! Also watched Lucky number Slevin again with my mom as she had watched only a part of it the other day. She loved the show due to its numerous twists and turns which somehow just fell into place elegantly. Definitely a must watch.

TIME : 4:30 PM

Went to the entrance of our apartment houses to pick up Nat from her school bus. Made a turn into the convenience store to get some candy haha. Nat's a total sweet addict. Went back home and found out that Kim would be arriving in Carrefour around 7PM. Nat did her homework while i goofed around. Soon, it was 6:00PM. Left home to pick up my stepdad from office and proceeded to Carrefour.

Reached Carrefour and just in time. Soon after Kim's bus stopped at the Carrefour bus stop. The driver picked her and Rishab up while me and Nat stayed in the car. My parents had went into Carrefour to get some stuff.

Time : 7:15 PM

We then went to Z place to eat dinner. Auntie Binny, Rishab's mom was waiting for us there. Had Mee Goreng which was pretty good. The Jazz band was just coming into the restaurant. They were due to perform at around 8:00 Pm at the Jazz Club in the 2nd floor. After dinner went to walk around the vicinity with my stepdad while the rest stayed at Z place. it was pretty cool roaming the streets haha, came across this Muslim restaurant i think. Apparently the food sold are recipes/food from a Muslim province in China. Forgot the place's name though. It was the first Muslim restaurant i've seen since i arrived. Pretty cool. It was green-schemed and had a mosque-esque banner as their logo. Planning to check it out some other day. Man shops were everywhere. Turn left, shops. Right, shops. Back, shops. Front, shops. I wonder how all of them survive. Shows Ningbo is certainly an up and coming city and pretty vibrant too. Most of their high rise buildings had lights running from the bottom to the top of the exterior. Visually appealing i must say. Went back to Z place and went up with the kids to the jazz club. Pretty spacious place, reminded me of Hard Rock Cafe Singapore. Had a foosball table where i played a game with Rishab. Weird foosball table though. Soon, it was time to go and we went home at around 8++PM.
