4th Day in Ningbo, China

No plan for today, just relaxing at home and being bums. Had breakfast, leftover fried mee hoon from yesterday. Decided to label the tons of Mini-DV cassette tapes i had brought over to be transferred. Had to laboriously go through each one of em to see what their content was. Following that, watched Nacho Libre with the kids. Pretty funny show, but not as good as i expected.

Downloaded songs and stuff on the comp, mom cooking nasi lemak today and asked the neighbours over for dinner, Auntie Binny's family. Spent the rest of the day watching Baybeats 2006 on the videocam and finally completed reading Dan Brown's Digital Fortress, very good book in my opinion.

Time : 7:00PM

Had dinner with the neighbours, they cooked some chicken curry dhal. Bigass spread of food, Buffalo wings chicken, mini fried drumlets, musssels in tomato sauce, vegetables, fried fish fillet, man luckily i controlled what i ate or id be 5 KG heavier. haha The family decided to take a walk after the meal. Dimly lit neighbourhood around here, with the temperature probably ard 15 degrees. Went to a provisions shop a few blocks down. Checked out the selection of stuff there, decided to get 2 cans of watermelon sodas. Was about to leave the place when i spotted a rectangular box with a 'TAMIYA' like cover on it. Saw a few and asked how much it cost. 22 RMB = 4 dollars. Heck, gonna relive the old days when i used to have a collection of tamiya cars. The kids wanted this gold coloured one, i thought it was pretty sleek too and purchased it. 'Gonna be fun building this badass car', i thought. On closer inspection, it was a Chinese brand, AULDEY, not Tamiya, haha but oh well it looks good. Went to a nearby park, where they had those exercise machines u see in Singapore, the blue and yellow ones in some neighbourhoods? yeah those types. Hung out a while there in darkness haha.

The Auldey 'Desert Storm' Unassembled

Reached home and immediately started to assemble the AULDEY car. Had Kimberly's help in sticking the stickers onto the body of the car while Nat put the wheels into motion.

My stepdad cut the parts and man he boo-booed on one of them leaving a small discolouration on the body of the car haha. The family went to bed soon after. Took me freakin 1 hr 15 mins to get the car done! Full of mini gears and what nots which took some time to push into the correct areas. Luckily the instruction paper had english on it. hhaha but anyways was pretty tired but satisfied that i had finally completed it, only thing to do was to test it with batteries tomorrow so yeah i left the car on the dining table for the kids to see it when they went to school. Went online to surf and chat with people. Rendra told me of a website where i could watch soccer! woopie doos! Started watching at about 12:30AM, Chelsea VS Tottenham. Great match which in the end did no favours to my fantasy premier league team haha, but chelsea losing 2-1 meant that Liverpool was slowly gaining on the leaders. About time! Went to bed at around 2AM.
